Terms and Conditions

Royalty

 

The artist retains full copyright on all portraits made. When a portrait is commissioned, I reserve the right to post it on my website and on my social media pages. Customers who do not want their portrait to be placed online must notify me before starting the commission.

 

Payments

 

When placing an order, an advance of 30% must be paid. The payment of the advance is considered as your approval for the start of the portrait and the payment date is therefore the start date of the agreement. The payment of the advance also applies as agreement with the general terms and conditions. The portrait will not be started until this payment has been received. The balance must be paid when the order is ready for shipment and must be paid before the portrait is sent. Payment can be made by bank transfer or PayPal.

My business is a small business subject to the tax exemption scheme. This means that VAT is not applicable.

 

Shipping

 

Orders are always shipped with a tracking number and can be delivered worldwide. The shipping costs can differ per item and per country, so always ask what the shipping costs are for your country.

International shipments may require payment of customs fees and import duties. These costs are always borne by the recipient.

As soon as full payment has been received, the order will be shipped within 3 working days. It is possible that your order will be delayed with the delivery service, in this case I am not liable for the delay incurred.

I am not responsible for incorrect or incomplete delivery information provided by the customer.

 

Right of withdrawal

 

When placing an order, it is possible to make a cancellation up to 14 calendar days after payment of the advance. In this case, the full amount will be refunded. A cancellation must always be notified by e-mail and this also removes the place on the waiting list for making the portrait.

 

If the cancellation occurs more than 14 calendar days after payment of the advance, the amount paid will be retained as loss of turnover to cover the time, the purchased material, administration, e-mails and payment costs.

 

If you have problems with an order, please feel free to contact me. I will do my best to resolve the problem in consultation.

 

Rejection of completed portrait

 

Before the portrait is sent, you will receive photos of the finished portrait. Based on this, you give your approval to send the portrait. Making the payment of the balance is considered to be your approval.

If you are not satisfied with the result after receiving an approved portrait, please contact me within 7 calendar days of receipt and I will see how we can solve the problem. Please note that if the portrait has to be returned for alterations, the customer will be required to pay the necessary shipping costs in both directions.

 

Damage in transit

 

The portrait will be shipped properly packaged, but in the unlikely event that damage occurs in transit, please send a photo of the damaged artwork immediately. The artwork must be returned to me and a new portrait is drawn for free. The new portrait will be added to the waiting list again.

 

Waiting list

 

Since I receive multiple requests to start portraits, I work with a waiting list where the requests are added according to the receipt date of the order. So the turnaround time for finishing the portrait can vary according to the number of requests I receive.

 

Similarity with forwarded photo

 

Although I do everything I can to reproduce the submitted photo of the pet as similar as possible, I can never guarantee 100% similarity.
